Lecturer in Joinery, Southern Regional College (Newry)

You must have: A Level 5 qualification (or higher) in a closely related discipline; A Level 3 NVQ in Joinery; A pass grade at GCSE Level in English Language or Essential Skills Level 2 in Literacy or an equivalent qualification; A pass grade at GCSE Level in Mathematics or Essential Skills Level 2 in Numeracy or NICATS Access Maths Modules or an equivalent qualification and a minimum of three years, relevant industrial, teaching or training experience, within the last seven years.

Lecturer in Engineering (Mechatronics), Southern Regional College (Newry)

A full-time permanent position reporting to the curriculum area manager, duties will include:

• Contributing to the development, organisation and delivery of the relevant curriculum area across Southern Regional College leading to the award of various qualifications relating to own specialism/s.
• Attending meetings on matters relating to students, course co-ordination, management, assessment and development.
• Participating in the marketing of and recruitment to courses within the subject/programme area, including the interviewing of students, attendance at parents evenings, prize-giving, open days, awards ceremonies and other similar departmental/college events.
• Acting as a course manager/coordinator.
