The role:

  1. Compile a variety of information and confidential materials, from various sources, and summarise information in line with agreed targets and objectives, compiling appropriate reports as and when required. 
  2. Act as a note taker in a range of senior management and other ad-hoc HR meetings as required. 
  3. Administer all HR and salary functions, together with fringe benefits as required 
  4. Undertake allocated assignments, HR projects and activities as directed to meet targets and inform line management of any issues. 
  5. Provide a point of contact for employees and visitors for the HR department.  
  6. Co-ordinate recruitment procedures, chair short listing and interview panels, administer selection testing where appropriate, and prepare and issue all associated documentation. 
  7. Responsible for the maintenance and use of a range of HR systems and databases to extract, manipulate and analyse data for the production of management reports and information. 
  8. Develop and administer job descriptions 
  9. Assist with the implementation of the company health, well-being and corporate social responsibility strategies 
  10. Provide advice and support on a range of human resource matters and prepare proposals and reports. 
  11. Lead and participate in community outreach activities including providing careers advice, attending careers conventions and delivering talks and educational awareness sessions in schools and universities, as directed. 
  12. Prepare and issue specific correspondence, including contractual changes of employment and ensure all administration processes required for the HR functions are undertaken.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification and/or CIPD Qualification
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working in a generalist HR role
  • Previous experience in dealing with employee relations matters
  • Previous experience in providing coaching support to line management and staff
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Teamwork skills
  • Good analytical, planning and organizing skills
  • Results focused, with ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft office

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience within an engineering  manufacturing environment
  • Experience in using PAMS and  NorthTime Pro
