Working hours: Monday to Friday – 8.45am to 5.00pm
Location: Ballynure
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Officer to join our growing team!

Role overview:
Reporting to the QSHE Manager this role supports the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental standards across the Group. You will liaise with directors, managers and staff providing an advisory service to ensure compliance to all.

Key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental (QSHE) internal audits and site inspections across the Group’s locations.
Carrying out checks and updating records to monitor compliance on a regular basis.
Obtaining, reviewing and evaluating necessary documentation related to sub-contractors.
Organising and delivering employee induction.
Obtaining and reviewing necessary documentation from contractors, delivering contractors’ induction and maintaining accurate records.
Assisting with the provision of QSHE and Product Safety awareness programs to staff through various campaigns.
Responding to employees’ queries or concerns about potential safety, environmental and health issues and discuss suggestions for improvements.
Participating in the investigating of accidents and near misses.
Gathering data and completing all aspects of QSHE administration tasks ensuring records are updated.
Producing and updating appropriate communication material including signage and posters.
Participating in meetings and taking minutes.
Assisting in the review of current QSHE policies, procedures, regulations and legislation.
Travelling to Group’s locations and customer sites in GB & Ireland as required.

The successful candidate should have:
2 years’ experience of working within a similar role
Experience working to ISO standards
Internal auditing experience
NEBOSH Certificate

The successful applicant will be self-motivated with the ability to identify new opportunities, have the ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.  They will be experienced in QSHE management systems and procedures with excellent analytical, report writing and presentation skills.

Desirable knowledge and experience:
Knowledge of BRC Global Standards
Previous experience in QSHE Management systems and procedures.
Knowledge of current QSHE legislation.
