Pensions Manager

This is a new senior post established within the Finance Department to lead a small Pensions Team. The post holder will be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining the organisation’s relationship with its new external pension administration provider; and will be responsible for developing and delivering an implementation plan for legislative decisions, including the McCloud and O’Brien judgements remedies.
The Pensions Manager will have a significant impact through ensuring corporate compliance with pension and tax legislation; and providing strategic support and advice to the newly constituted Pension Board.

Hours of work;
Currently 36¼ hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
A Flexible Working Hours Scheme is in operation.
In view of the level of this appointment, the post holder will be required to work in such a way as to fulfil the obligations of the post.

There is currently one permanent post for based at NIFRS HQ in Lisburn. This recruitment and selection process will also be used to fill future vacancies, a reserve list will be created for 12 months should any additional permanent or fixed term vacancies arise (offers of posts will be made in merit order).

The salary scale is PO6. The salary range is currently £46,549-£49,590 per annum.
