NQ Solicitor (Job Ref: 22N/NQSN)

Randox Laboratories is currently inviting applications for an NQ Solicitor. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of commercial and employment related legal activities globally.

The Role:

  • Supporting the Head of Legal with all commercial, corporate and business compliance activities, including commercial contracts and global projects
  • Reviewing and drafting commercial contracts and being aware of underlying legal principles and risks to assist the business
  • Providing legal advice and support in relation to a variety of commercial matters often involving data protection considerations
  • Liaising with external clients, authorities, professional bodies and the Courts and Tribunal services
  • Providing support, advice and managing enquiries across all functions of the business
  • Liaising with all departments within the company to obtain further and better instructions and any documentation as required
  • Carrying out research on legal issues and keeping up to date with legislative changes that may impact the business
  • Dealing with contentious matters as and when required, including but not limited to drafting letters before action, settlement agreements, attending court or tribunal hearings
  • Assisting in the drafting of any company policies or procedures as and when required or directed
  • Reviewing and updating a range of commercial contract templates as required and/or directed
  • Adhering to company positive work environment policies, health & safety procedures, and the maintenance of a safe working environment

The Candidate:


  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure with conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex information confidently, clearly and concisely to different stakeholders
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills


  • PQE of at least 1 year
  • Data Protection/GDPR experience
  • Proactive and capable of working unsupervised
