Randox are looking for a Microbiology Manager to join our manufacturing team at one of our sites based just outside of Crumlin, Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the QC Microbiology department.

Shift pattern:
08:40-17:20 – Monday-Friday

The role:

  • Continual research of modern microbiology testing processes and the evaluation of practical use within the QC microbiology department.
  • The introduction and validation of the processes and equipment within the QC microbiology department.
  • Continual research and review of microbiology technology ensuring the department is operating with state-of-the-art equipment.
  • The management of all staff within the department.
  • Responsible for the department completion of microbial analysis on samples from various departments.
  • Establish and maintain quality control microbiological procedures for all new Randox products and raw materials.

The Candidate:
Essential:

  • Qualified to at least Honours degree standard in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology or a Life Science degree.
  • Previous working experience in a related industry.
  • Good leadership qualities.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages and general good computer literacy.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a microbiology lab.
  • Previous leadership/management experience.
