Mechanical Design Engineer

We require a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative international company in a growing industry that can provide career security and genuine advancement opportunities for those who show potential.

The role will be based at our site in Dungloe, Co. Donegal.

The Role:

• To aid in the design and development of Clinical Chemistry Analysers.
• Create innovative and novel solutions to take ideas from initial concepts and develop these through to production.
• Responsible for the verification and validation of designs with supporting documentation.
• Aid in the transfer of the product from the design to manufacturing department.

The Candidate:
Essential:

• Level 8 Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Grade 2:1).
• 3D CAD modelling experience, preferably SolidWorks.
• Ability to generate manufacturing drawings to high standard.
• Creation of Bill of Materials.
• Interest in mechanism design.
• Preparation of design documentation in line with the company design procedure.
• Ability to work within a multi-discipline engineering team.

Desirable:

• Appreciation of the application of stepper motors, electronic sensor, and control mechanisms.
• Experience with medical device fluidic systems.
• Experience with injection molding of polymer products.
• GD&T Drawing experience, although not necessary.
• Creation of Design Input requirements.
