The role:

  1. Receive and interpret customer schedules
  2. Monitor stock on all Ryobi and 3rd party sites and support monthly stock checks.
  3. Prepare daily and weekly shipping schedules
  4. Prepare despatch documents and labels
  5. Prepare daily and weekly reports as required
  6. Operate customer EDI systems
  7. Operate customer portals and maintain customer service ratings.
  8. Maintain despatch records
  9. Raise monthly orders for freight services etc
  10. Contacting suppliers/customer freight companies to schedule daily shipments
  11. Track freight as required
  12. Using Sage ERP and MRP systems
  13. Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures
  14. Participate with team working, information sharing, 5S and Continuous Improvement Programmes
  15. Ensure compliance with all Company policies and systems, including the quality, health, safety and environmental policies and management systems.
  16. Other duties as assigned

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent, including Mathematics and English Language
  • Import and/or export experience
  • IT literate, proficient in MS Office
  • Previous warehousing experience
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good organizational skills
  • Customer focus and teamwork skills
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable Criteria:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area (e.g. 2 A Level passes, HND, HNC or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing/materials environment
  • Experience of using Sage ERP
  • German/French language skills
  • Forklift licence
