The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

Job Role          Inreach Project Worker – Short Breaks
Location          Belfast Health and Social Care Trust Area
Salary              £20,852 per annum Pro Rata
Hours              37 hours per week

We are currently offering a Welcome Bonus totalling up to £1000, paid throughout your first year of service. Ts&Cs Apply.

The Short Break Service provides one to one social, emotional and physical support to children and young people, within the family home in the form of sensory play or arts & crafts for example, whilst providing parents and carers with a regular short break.
It is a fun and exciting service providing individual support to children and young people with, complex disabilities & healthcare needs, autism and brain injury. 

The Inreach Project Worker will work in partnership with the Children Community Nursing Team to provide a high standard of care for children with complex healthcare needs both in the home and community setting within the Belfast area, allowing parents/carers a regular short break from care.

The Project Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary and this may include some manual handling tasks.

Essential Criteria 
RQF Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Health & Social Care, Youth & Community Work, or related field
AND
Minimum of 6 months’ experience providing support to young people 
Proficiency in IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom
Ability to work independently with good organisational, communication & interpersonal skills

Desirable Criteria
Experience & understanding of the barriers in relation to young people with disability 
Experience of working with individuals with behaviours that challenge
Awareness of RQIA, Domiciliary Regulations and Minimum Standards
NISCC Registration
