Becoming a Graduate Technical Design Engineer in Denroy offers the opportunity to grow in an exciting engineering environment assisting the Technical Team in managing cutting-edge projects for our biggest customers from aerospace to automotive.

Principal Activities

  • Support the Technical Teams management of projects from concept to production
  • Review technical specifications enabling manufacture by injection moulding
  • Manage, review and process injection mould tooling quotations
  • Creating material selection criteria and selecting suitable materials for project requirements
  • Technical input and advice to potential customers in design for manufacture
  • Support internal functions attending internal trials validating product prior to production
  • 3D design of internal jigs and fixtures for use in manufacture and robotics
  • Manufacture of components using 3D printing techniques including SLS and FDM
  • Creation of 2D drawings with GD&T for General assembly reviews
  • Generating Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation
  • Liaison and provision of technical assistance as required by other functions
  • Contribute to day-to-day operations as required by the Technical Manager

Essential Criteria

  • Degree level qualification in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience in an Engineering or New Product role
  • Design software package experience such as CATIA with knowledge of solid modelling and 3-D Surfacing techniques
  • 2D drawing experience including GD&T
  • High level of IT competency
  • Excellent articulation and general communication skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of Injection Moulding
  • Plastics material knowledge
  • Competency using Microsoft packages including Excel and Teams
  • Appreciation of Engineering principals
  • Customer Facing Experience
  • PLM and ERP system awareness such as 3DX and INFOR
  • Flexible approach to business travel
