Location: Based in Ballynure, with travel required between our depots

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our growing team!
Role overview:
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to coordinate, plan and perform essential services such as maintenance, repairs, external cleaning, waste disposal and recycling across our various depots in Ballynure, Dublin, Liverpool and Preston. The Facilities Manager will help to ensure the safety and maintenance of our sites and buildings, ensuring compliance with security, safety and environmental regulations. They will have good overall knowledge of busy sites and warehouse and office building works as they will be first point of call for issues/repairs and they will need to be able to triage the calls and discuss repair options over the phone or in person.

Main responsibilities:
Create and manage the repair and maintenance schedule for depot facilities on our multiple sites, to include offices, warehousing, workshops and yard areas.
Ensure we are fully compliant and statutory requirements in terms of fire safety, electrical safety, gas safety etc are met to the highest standard across all sites
Ensure safe working practices in relation to day to day duties including carrying out regular risk assessments and inspections
Routinely inspect site facilities to identify safety, security, repairs, maintenance and renovation requirements
Oversee the delivery of planned maintenance
Carry out daily planned maintenance routines and repairs
Respond and deal with urgent facility issues
Schedule and manage external contractors as required, liaise with contractors and ensure work is completed to a safe and satisfactory standard on time
Manage site security, parking, recycling, refuse collections, drainage, trees and hedges pruning, weed control
Manage energy consumption and continually review renewable energy solutions
Keep financial and non-financial records of all relevant works
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience as Facilities Manager or relevant position with 4 years experience
Knowledge of Health & Safety rules, regulations, legislation and best practice
Experience with technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
Experience selecting & managing 3rd party contractors and maintenance contracts
Experience and understanding of project management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Good analytical/critical thinking
Full driving licence
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) although not essential will be advantageous
