Despatch Operator

As a result of this growth, we wish to recruit for the role of Despatch Operative: As Despatch Operative, you will take responsibility for the loading and unloading of goods in and out, primary inspection of goods in and out along with general duties in the warehouse, packaging and storage areas.
THE JOB
• Ensure there is an adequate supply of packaging to production lines for routine operation in line with production schedule;
• Segregate allergens and organic product from standard stock; • Stock rotation and reconciliations;
• Complete paperwork accurately;
• Operate the IT system for stock movements, packaging finished goods and despatch notes;
• Loading and unloading the trailers of despatched and received goods, along with completion of associated paperwork;
• Ensure cleaning schedule for warehouse, despatch area, weighbridge and loading yard is periodically completed.
THE PERSON
• A minimum of 1 years previous experience in a similar role;
• At least 1 years fork truck experience and valid licence (Counter Balance, Reach, and Pallet Truck);
• A shunter licence;
• Previous experience of stock taking packaging, ingredients & finished goods, and adjusting variances;
• High standard of written and spoken English;
• Good standard of administration and IT skills;
• A working appreciation of health and safety legislation
The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible in their working hours to accommodate the operational needs of the business which may include shift work
