Due to continued expansion of the business, there is a requirement for a Company Accountant to join the finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller this will be an integral role in the development of the business. The Company Accountant will be responsible for two main aspects of the finance function: • Project Accounting – this aspect of the role will require you to take ownership and responsibility for the financial reporting for a number of large contracts delivered by the business. You will prepare summary financial data that will feed into the monthly Management Accounts. To achieve this you must be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders; • Financial Accounting – this aspect of the role will involve you in the preparation of monthly accounts and reconciliations in accordance with the month end and quarter end process timetable along with other ad hoc financial duties. You must be able to present accurate and timely information to senior management on the financial performance of the business whilst helping to assist in minimising business risk.
