We are recruiting an experienced Configuration Management Database (CMDB) specialist to join the ITSM team within our Cross-Functional Services group. The right candidate will have proven experience in Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) and previous responsibility for managing a CMDB in ServiceNow. Ideally, the candidate will also have proven experience in Capacity and Demand management maximising the benefits of a quality CMDB. The CMDB Specialist must be able to demonstrate the ability to document and drive processes for Configuration Item information capture to ensure our CMDB remains up to date and accurate. The right candidate will also play a primary role in the production of Capacity reports and work with technical teams to ensure future demand is understood and catered for. Working as part of an established team reporting to the IT Service Management (ITSM) Team Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to take ownership of the CMDB. Working with ServiceNow, discovery tools and our technical teams you will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of our CMDB. Our CMDB is crucial to supporting Change Management impact assessments and incident investigations, and as such you will be required to work closely with our Service Desk and our Change Management team to ensure the CMDB is providing the required information and collectively driving continuous improvement. Understanding our capacity and planning for future demand minimises capacity-related incidents and as such, you will be required to provide capacity reports to the business and work with the business to understand future demand. The role is mostly Field based but will require occasional travel to our offices in London, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire and Belfast This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an interesting and varied company that offer a busy yet friendly place of work.
