The Creative Industries New Entrants programme (CINE) is a new initiative which aims to broaden access to the screen and creative industries at entry level.  Funded by the Department for Communities and working in partnership with BBC Northern Ireland, the scheme will help identify new talent. In line with UK-wide screen industry initiatives we will prioritise applicants from underrepresented ethnic minority, socio-economic, and disabled communities, to expand our growing creative industries sector and create a more diverse generation of ‘New Entrants’ of all ages. These opportunities are only available if you are over 18.

New Gate Arts & Culture Centre is located in The Fountain area of Derry ~Londonderry; close to the historic walls and the city centre. It is easily accessible and close to all major transport links. ​We provide a range of workshops, classes, performances, talks, tours, festivals and cultural events. As well as facilitated discussions, good relations, workshops and peace building initiatives. We are a vibrant arts and culture centre, where everyone can experience the unique cultural heritage of our community.

Production & Technical Assistant (New Gate Arts Centre)

The Production & Technical Assistant role will play a crucial part in our organisation and especially in our newly opened arts centre (New Gate Arts & Culture Centre). The role will see the person gain a valuable insight and experience into delivering high class productions to the public, as well as all the technical experience in delivering successful theatre, music and dance productions, they will also gain valuable skills in artist management, production administration and stage management.

Person Spec:
A love of the arts, with a thirst to learn new things.   A good communicator with admin experience, combined with good practical organisational skills, is ideally what we are looking for. The ideal candidate will be authentic and should have respect for all types of people.
