Randox is one of Northern Ireland’s most successful manufacturing companies and we are continuing to grow. We require highly motivated and dedicated individuals to work within our busy Manufacturing Department as Cable Assembly Technicians in the Randox Science Park – Antrim.

Current Shift Pattern:
07:40 – 17:20 on Monday – Thursday
07:40 – 11:40 on Friday

This may move to 4 x 10 hours shifts in the future.

The role:

  • Manufacture and assembly of cables to be used in analyser machines, electromechanical modules and for use in engineering products and projects.
  • Re-work of printed circuit boards assembly
  • Providing feedback on possible issues.
  • Identifying and implementing ways of improving the efficiency of the process.
  • Full training to IPC standards will be provided to successful applicants

The candidate:

Essential:

  • Educated to GCSE level
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role
  • Have basic experience in standard computer applications (Microsoft office)
  • Flexibility to work a shift pattern

Desirable:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in either electromechanical assembly or light engineering manufacture.
  • Have a qualification in an electronic discipline.
  • Experience in the use of crimping tools (manual and / or automated)
  • Experience of soldering cable/PCB assemblies.
  • Have a hands-on approach and practical engineering skills.
  • Previous experience working to IPC-WHMA-A-620 standard
